College Colors Day
The University of Wyoming seeks fan support for the annual College Colors Day Spirit Cup competition that offers a $10,000 donation toward the school’s general scholarship fund and an all-expenses paid trip to the College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship game.
College Colors Day is an annual celebration dedicated to promoting the traditions and spirit that embodies the college experience. On Friday, Aug. 29, fans across the United States are encouraged to wear the apparel of their favorite college or university throughout the day.
The Spirit Cup is a points-based rivalry competition that uses social media platforms to crown its champion. Poke fans can earn points for UW by showcasing their school spirit on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtags #collegecolors and #GoWyo. Bonus points can be earned by sharing those posts via the College Colors Day app. The school with the most points at the end of the competition will be crowned the Spirit Cup champion and receive a $10,000 donation towards its general scholarship fund.
Cowboy fans are encouraged to visit the collegecolorsday.com website to learn how to earn points for UW, and to register to win an all-expenses paid trip for two to the inaugural CFP National Championship game.
Once registered for the CFP sweepstakes, each action that a fan takes to support the University of Wyoming in the Spirit Cup competition earns them additional sweepstakes entries and increases their chances of winning. Eligible actions include:
Sending a tweet using #collegecolors and #GoWyo; posting a photo on Twitter or Instagram using #collegecolors and #GoWyo; and sharing a picture on Twitter or Instagram via the College Colors Day app using #collegecolors and #GoWyo.
The Spirit Cup competition runs through Aug. 28. Winners of both the Spirit Cup competition and the College Football Playoff sweepstakes will be announced Friday, Aug. 29, via CollegeColorsDay.com.
