Cheyenne Woman Arrested on Warrant, Facing Felony Meth Charges

A 35-year-old Cheyenne woman is facing felony drug charges after a state trooper found 51 grams of methamphetamine in her car.

According to an affidavit, Amanda Nace was pulled over on U.S. Highway 85 south of Cheyenne on Dec. 5 for a registration violation.

Nace reportedly identified herself as Brenda Knight multiple times and gave the trooper a bogus birth date before finally handing over her driver's license.

When the trooper ran Nace's name, he discovered she had a full extradition warrant for probation revocation on an original charge of felony conspiracy to commit theft.

While attempting to locate Nace's cell phone, the trooper found 50.6 grams of meth in a Ziploc bag under the driver's seat. Approximately 0.5 grams of meth and a digital scale were also found in Nace's purse.

Nace was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine, interference with a peace officer-resist and no valid registration. She's facing up to 28-and-a-half years in prison if convicted on all four counts.

Nace is currently being held in the Laramie County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 13 at 1:30 p.m.
