Cheyenne Police Gearing Up

A spokesman for the Cheyenne Police Department says that agency is gearing for Cheyenne Frontier Days 2014. Dan Long says:

  • Cheyenne Police Detectives will be putting on uniforms to direct traffic in the Frontier Park Area.
  • Extra Officers from the Laramie Police Department will be deployed in Cheyenne
  • Undercover officers will be in the Frontier Park area looking for alcohol violations
  • All vacation time is put on hold for CPD officers until after CFD.
  • The department's DUI officer will be aggressively looking for DUI motorists

Long says Cheyenne Frontier Days is typically the busiest few days of the year for local law enforcement.
