The Cheyenne Frontier Days Grand Parades will start a little bit earlier this year.

Cheyenne Frontier Days General Chairman Darin Westby says the the parades will step off at 9:00 a.m. instead of 9:30 a.m. Westby says the change was in response to comments the Frontier Days committee received.

We wanted to move the parade up to 9 a.m. to give people another half-hour to an hour downtown before they make their way up to the park.

The parades will be held in downtown Cheyenne on Saturday July 19, Tuesday July 22, Thursday July 24, and Saturday July 26.  Westby says the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds show on Wednesday July 23 has also been moved up. Instead of starting at 10 a.m. it will start at 9:30 a.m.

A reminder from the Cheyenne Police Department, on parade days there will be no parking allowed along the parade route starting at 7:30 a.m.
