Basketball fans all over the state were celebrating last night when Larry Nance Jr. became the first University of Wyoming player selected in the NBA Draft since 1995. Unfortunately for the Casper Star Tribune, one reporter just couldn't wait to break the news.

At 8:55 p.m., the headline on their website read "Former Wyoming star Larry Nance Jr. selected by San Antonio Spurs with 26th pick of 2015 Draft". Whoops. Turns out, the former Pokes star was actually drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 27th pick. At least they were close.

To make the gaffe even more embarrassing, the incorrect headline was posted on a page titled "Pokes Authority". Maybe next time, the reporter assigned to cover the sports desk will actually watch the draft before they write the story.
