The budget session of the 62nd Wyoming Legislature begins Monday morning with Governor Matt Mead's State of the State address at 10 a.m.Senate President Tony Ross says the number one priority for the session is the 2015-2016 Biennium budget. Representative Tom Lubnau, Speaker of the Wyoming House, believes the budget put together by Governor Mead and the Legislature's Joint Appropriations Committe is "a responsible budget."

An issue lawmakers will review during this session is whether or not to move forward with the optional expansion of Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act. Lubnau says they are getting a lot of pressure from groups about the expansion. Both Lawmakers say another issue will be to put in place a process to address the recent decision by the Wyoming Supreme Court to overturn Senate File 104.
