The 15th Annual Wyoming Buddy Walk® will take place on Saturday, September 12th in Laramie, WY at the Washington Park band shell.

The purpose of the Wyoming Buddy Walk® is to celebrate the lives of people with Down syndrome and raise awareness about Down syndrome in Wyoming. The annual Wyoming Buddy Walk® also raises money to provide support for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. The Wyoming Down Syndrome Association, in conjunction with Ark Regional Services, organizes the event.

Pre-registration is strongly recommended. Pre-registering by August 21 guarantees a t-shirt of the correct size, a football ticket, and helps registration move more quickly. Pre-registration also saves money with a cost of $15 for adults (18 and up) and $5 for youth (17 and under). Registration after August 21 is $20 for adults (18 and up) and $10 for youth (17 and under).

Those who register for the Wyoming Buddy Walk® will be able to purchase discounted football tickets for the day’s game. The University of Wyoming Cowboys will take on Eastern Michigan at War Memorial Stadium at 2 p.m. the day of the walk. Those who register will be able to get a ticket at the discounted price of only $12.50 each. Discounted tickets may be purchased for each registered walker.

The Wyoming Buddy Walk® will begin at 9 am and we will have a variety of carnival games, carnival snacks, and live music. At 10:30 a.m., participants will walk and return to the bandshell to enjoy a delicious lunch during the recognition ceremony. The event will conclude at 12 p.mm, which will provide enough time for people attending the football game to make their way to Tailgate Park to enjoy the UW festivities.
