Bridger-Teton National Forest Extends Food Storage Rules

JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — The Bridger-Teton National Forest is extending a food-storage rule to protect humans and bears.

The order signed by Acting Forest Supervisor Kathryn Conant went into effect on Tuesday and keeps food storage rules in effect until further notice. The rules had been set to expire on Monday.

The rule requires all food and other items that might attract bears to be stored where bears cannot access them at night and during the daytime when they are unattended.
