Wyoming junior quarterback Brett Smith has been chosen for a second year in a row to participate in the Manning Passing Academy.

The camp is led by Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, Giants quarterback Eli Manning, legendary NFL and Ole Miss quarterback Archie Manning, and Cooper Manning.

This year’s camp is held on the campus at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA.  It will begin Thursday, July 11 and continue through Sunday, July 14.

Smith was invited to the camp initially when he met Archie Manning at the 2011 New Mexico Bowl.  Smith explained “Archie Manning first spoke to me at the bowl game about the camp.  Then he called me a month and a half or two months later and asked me if I still wanted to go, I told him absolutely.”

Other college quarterbacks at the camp include Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel of Texas A&M, Tajh Boyd of Clemson, Teddy Bridgewater of Louisville, A.J. McCarron of Alabama, Marcus Mariota of Oregon, and Aaron Murray of Georgia.

Other camp instructors from the NFL include St. Louis quarterback Sam Bradford, Indianapolis quarterback Andrew Luck, San Francisco quarterback Colt McCoy, Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford, former NFL head coach John Gruden, Eagles head coach Chip Kelly, and former NFL coach Dave Shula.
