Bark Beetle Spraying Begins

The application of Tengard insecticide for control of bark beetles will begin on Monday June 2nd and could continue through Friday June 6th, depending on weather conditions.

Alpine Tree Services has been contracted to provide spraying services for trees in Greenhill Cemetery, City parks, and other City properties.

These areas will be signed 24 hours before the application and remain posted until 24 hours after application of the insecticide. Please stay away from all treated areas until signage has been removed. Contractors will clean playground equipment and picnic tables after the application to remove residues. Applications will begin daily at 4:00 am.

Scheduled applications are tentative and subject to change based weather conditions. Please call the City of Laramie pesticide hotline at 721-5056 for updated schedules. The hotline will be updated each day at 4:00pm.

Wednesday June 4, 2014 – Undine Park, La Bonte Park, Optimist Park, Kiwanis Park, Depot Park

Thursday June 5, 2014- Laramie Recreation Center and Ice Arena, Gateway park, City Offices, Detention ponds, Entrance Beautification areas and Satellite facility areas.

Friday June 6, 2014- Make up day in case of bad weather
