WESTMINSTER, Colo. (AP) — Westminster Police Chief Lee Birk says authorities are now on a "mission of justice" for 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway.

Authorities on Friday revealed that a body found in a suburban Denver park earlier this week belongs to Jessica. Birk says all law enforcement efforts are now in search of her abductor. He says authorities "recognize there is a predator at large" in the community.

Ridgeway began a short walk from her home to Witt Elementary School on the morning of Oct. 5 but never arrived.

The FBI has warned residents that she may have been abducted by someone they know and is asking them to be alert for people they know who might have suddenly changed their appearance or uncharacteristically missed work or appointments.

Authorities in Westminster have said that they know of "no specific connection" between the Jessica Ridgeway case and the abduction and sexual assault of a girl in Cody, WY earlier this week.
