Which Natural Disaster do you Dislike More? – Survey of the Day
Technically speaking, it is still spring, but with the numerous storms we’ve seen in the area over the last few weeks, it feels as though we are in the midst of a massive summer storm season. Not long ago, a quarter-mile tornado struck the Wheatland area, injuring one, and causing massive damage in its wake. Also in the Wheatland area recently, there have been wildfires near Laramie Peak and near Guernsey State Park.

One of the most unique, exhilarating and entertaining organizations in Laramie is without question the Naughty Pines Derby Dames. Laramie Golf Tournament Supports Hospice
Just as a 1,000 mile journey begins with a single step, an annual tradition must begin with year number one.
That is the hope of Hospice of Laramie, that their inaugural ‘Friends FORE Hospice Charity Golf Classic,’ will become a summer staple and annual event in Laramie.
What is Your Favorite Lake Around Laramie? – Survey of the Day
To many of us, a summertime not spent on the water, is a poorly spent summertime. Within the city limits of Laramie, there are not any lakes or ponds that are good for swimming or boating, but there are a good amount of indoor and outdoor pools. Places to swim are good, because swimming is, to many, a necessity to the summer, but to many of us, pools just don’t cut it in the summer months.

Let’s be honest, who isn’t a big fan of competition? Be it in sports rivalries, accelerating faster than someone after a stop light turns green, or trying to get more “likes” than your friends with a Facebook status, there are competitions everywhere in our everyday lives.

Be it for ambition, necessity, or convenience, many people take summer classes at the University of Wyoming. With over 400 classes and approximately 3,000 students in Laramie over the next several weeks, the 2012 Summer Session is underway and will run through the first week of August.
Which Would you Rather Have in Laramie, KFC or Chick-Fil-A? – Survey of the Day
I make no secret of the fact that I like food; specifically, fried chicken. In Laramie, there are places to get fried chicken, (or non-fried chicken if you’re into that), but since the closure of Slingers, there is not a restaurant in town that primarily sells chicken. With the Slingers lot vacant, it seems like a good fit for another restaurant franchise, and though there are many chicken restaurant franchises nationwide, two of the most recognizable are Kentucky Fried Chicken and Chick-Fil-A.
Hot dogs or Hamburgers? – Survey of the Day
Some things just go hand-in-hand with summertime. There are plenty of things that are just better to do when school is out and so is the sun. Among all the great summertime activities, few trump a good old-fashioned cookout. Hot dogs or hamburgers, along with a cool canned beverage, sounds nearly perfect on a hot summer day.
