An organization trying to revive the Antelope Butte Ski area in northern Wyoming has raised just over $210,000.

Antelope Butte Foundation officials say local donors have contributed more than $65,000 in the last 30 days.

The ski area closed in 2004, but the foundation hopes to reopen it by December 2016 as a nonprofit facility.

Antelope Butte is located off U-S Highway 14 and is approximately an hour drive from Sheridan.

Plans for the recreation area include restoring the lodge and refurbishing chair lifts.

The foundation says the work will cost between $2.9 million to $4.33 million.
