Organizers are hoping for 250 participants in the 10th anniversary run of the Always A Cowboy 8k run and 5k walk. Steve Kaiser from Gem City Bone and Joint joined Kari Eakins and Steve Kiggins on Sportsline Live to discuss the details.

The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 10 at Undine Park. The race will start at 9 a.m. with raceday registration available for $25. Preregistration is encouraged and closes on Wednesday, Sept. 7.  Registration forms can be picked up at Gem City Bone and Joint, the Laramie Rec Center and Half Acre Gym. Always A Cowboy is an annual race held in memory of the eight University of Wyoming cross country student athletes who died in a car accident on September 16, 2001. The race is eight kilometer for runners in honor of each one of the eight athletes. All proceeds are donated to the University of Wyoming cross country teams.
