Local credit union ACPE recently held a fundraiser with food truck Weitzel's Wings, also known as Double Dub's, in an effort to raise family for the Biggs family.

Austin Biggs, age five, was diagnosed with Lymphoblastic Lekemia in March. Trent Weitzel, owner of Weitzel's Wings, has started a GoFundMe page to help the family with the costs associated with medical treatment. At press time, the page has raised $13,455 of its $20,000 goal.

The event took place on March 25, 2016 in the ACPE parking lot. ACPE matched 25% of the Weitzel's Wings profit that night, donating $370. An additional $210 was raised in private donations from community members at the event.

Of the event, ACPE President Marcia Dent said, "Especially at times like this, I am very proud of our community and how they come together to help others!"

Other local businesses that have participated in the fundraising effort include: Mingles, Basic Beginnings, Cathedral Home, Bank of the West, and Fremont Electric, which has donated $1,000 to the Biggs family.
