Question:

What is the law with parked/abandoned cars on city streets? There is a car off of Snowy Range over by Big D that has been there for at least a month and a half.

Answer:

"Vehicles may be parked on City streets for any period of time unless they are inoperable or unless they are parked in front of someone's property and the property owner requests that the vehicle be marked for the 24 hour ordinance. If marked for the 24 hour ordinance, the vehicle must be moved or it will be towed after at least 24 hours have passed. If inoperable, the vehicle can be reported to police or the police may proactively mark the vehicle. If marked for being abandoned, the vehicle must be removed from the street or it will be towed after 5 days."

Ask the City Of Laramie is your chance to send the city that burning question that you have always wondered about such as: “Why are there so many potholes on Grand Avenue?” or “Why did my water usage rates go through the roof?”

Please note that the City of Laramie will answer as many questions as possible at their discretion.
