As the stretch run of the Mountain West football began last Saturday, one of the teams atop the Mountain Division was upset.

In Albuquerque, the Lobos got a break when Utah State missed a late field goal, as New Mexico pulled the surprise, much to the delight of fans of the Broncos and Falcons.

There were four conference games and a pair of non-MW games last weekend. The action stretched across three days. Two teams, Boise State and San Diego State had the weekend off.
