Candidate Primary nomination forms and information for seeking election to the Laramie City Council are now available  on the city website at www.cityoflaramie.org/election.

Enrolled ordinance no 1619 created three wards for the election of City Council members. The ward system for City Council seats is in place for the 2014 election (primary and general). The following four council seats are to be filled in the November 2014 General Election, each for a four (4) year term.

1 seat in Ward One
1 seat in Ward Two
2 seats in Ward Three

All residents of Ward One, Ward Two, and Ward Three, who are registered voters are eligible to file in their respective wards for an available seat in their ward.

Completed applications and a $25.00 filing fee must be submitted to the City Clerk's office no earlier than May 15 and no later than May 30, 2014.

Candidates filing with the City Clerk during this period will be certified to the county clerk by June 12, 2014, and their names will appear on the August 19, 2014 primary election ballot. The names of the candidates receiving the most votes for each seat, including write-ins, will then be certified to appear on the November 4, 2014 general election ballot.

Ward Two: 2 candidates for general election
Ward Three 4 candidates for general election

Written in candidates must receive at least 3 votes cast for a seat and must accept the nomination. All seats of City Council are non-partisan in the election.
