2012 Albany County Home Show Coming to Laramie’s Fairgrounds

The 19th Annual Albany County Home show is coming up in just a few short weeks with the promise of being bigger and better than ever. This year the show is even giving you the chance to win $20,000 towards a new car to take home to your garage! If you have never attended the event in the past, this is the year to give it a shot, especially if you want to make improvements to your home over the summer.

The Home Show will once again take place at the Albany County Fairgrounds, but this year it will fill both the Activities Center as well as the adjacent Red Barn building. Over 60 vendors will be attending the show to offer up their expertise. The big event starts on Saturday, March 31st and will continue on through Sunday, April 1st, allowing more people time to attend the show with its expansion to two days. The hours on Saturday will be 9AM to 3PM and on Sunday 11AM to 3PM.

Whether you are looking for something specific for your home or just searching for inspiration, the Albany County Home Show will have something for everyone. You can see all of the vendors who have signed up for this year’s show below. For the first time, this year’s Home Show will also include presentations and product demonstrations by local experts on specific topics of interest, so you might want to plan your trip to the show around one of these demonstrations that interests you! Here is a quick look at the topics and times for the presentations:

Saturday March 31^st:

• 11:15 AM – Green Build Technology – Green Tech Existing Homes
• 12:15 PM – Laramie Gardening Club – Gardening & Bulbs for Spring
• 1:15 PM – Gertsch Baker Engineering – Remodeling & Design Tips
• 2:15 PM – AT&T Bluewire – Wireless Technology for Your Home & Business

Sunday April 1^st:

• 11:15 AM – Green Build Technology – Green Tech for New Homes
• 12:15 PM – WCDA – Buying Your First Home
• 1:15 PM – Tiger Tree Land Management. – Pine Bark Beetles

As mentioned above, you will be given the chance to win $20,000 towards any new car from McCarty Motors at the Home Show this year, which is really exciting. Who doesn’t want a brand new car?
